Starter Board

The first board laid on your new deck is referred to as a starter board. Enduradeck "C" clips are used for starter boards. The "C" clip allows you to accommodate the required 5mm distance from the wall/structure.

Hidden Fixing

The Enduradeck boards are designed to be used with the hidden clipping system. The clips will guarantee a consistent gap between the edges of the boards. Each floor joist requires 1 clip per board. 

Fascia

Using the Enduradeck fascia is an ideal way of finishing the edges of your new deck. Pre drilling of the fascia is required prior to fastening. Enduradeck Fascia is available with a brushed finish in all decking colours

Butt joins MUST be installed over a double joist to allow for the correct installation of the hidden fixing system. Failure to install double joists will void warranty.

Gapping Requirements;

Between Boards - Side by Side. - Supplied clip will determine gap. 3 - 5mm
Board End to Solid Structure. - 10mm 
Against Wall - Parallel. - 10mm 
End to End Butt Join - Cold Day. - 7mm 
End to End Butt Join - Hot Day. - 5mm 
Butt Join to Breaker Board. - 5mm

Maximum Joist Distance Must Not Exceed;


Hollow Profile boards 
- 350mm Centres for Domestic.

Solid Profile boards  
- 400mm - 450mm Centres for Domestic.
- 350mm - 400mm Centres for Commercial / High traffic areas

Installation is the same for both Stainless Steel & Plastic Clip Systems.

Only solid profile boards are suitable for commercial applications.
Please allow a fall on your deck to help prevent pooling and/or water staining.
Decks must  have  a minimum 300mm clearance from ground level to prevent distortion and cupping.
